Forum: classic_tv Subject: "Good" "News"? "Bad" "News"? PD Newscasts?

A lot of Pre-1963 newscasts no longer exist. Some entire series are lost ("DuMont Evening News", "I.N.S. Telenews", basically any news series aired in Alaska in the 1950's). Some exist though, and a handful are on here (including the lovely "Plymouth News Caravan", and the rather annoying turkey called "The Walter Winchell Show"). Any chance of anymore? I am aware of several more of the Camel/Plymouth series existing. I don't know if it comes from before or after 1963, but the Kennedy killing newscast episode of "As the World Turns" (if you watch it, you'll understand what I mean) was interesting. There was a longer version on here for a while. If it was removed for reasons other than copyright (don't ask), then it would be wonderful to have the long version on here again. But somebody would have to find out why the longer version was removed to begin with (the shorter version, still on here, is also quite interesting).
